Mia’s Imaginary Knuckle Tattoos
I like a nice writing constraint and for a while have been obsessed with the notion of knuckle tattoos. In my mental rule book (rule book — that’s on the list) it has to be an actual bell-ringing phrase of two words, each word having four letters. You get no points for fooling around beyond that constraint. Granted, some like CMYK ISBN are a stretch but it’s more about the pattern, the wink and nod.
People who know me know that my husband Mike Essl has pity fool tattooed across his knuckles. I must say that living with such inspiration is um, inspiring.
If I were to get knuckle tattoos, I’d probably go with earl grey, or maybe text edit. For the meantime (mean time is on the list) I prefer the theoretical, changeable, mutable fun of a long and growing list.
